Eunice says to drink plenty of water. Save travels with Thirsty. Gasoline was $3.35 per gallon last weekend here Vinton, Iowa. Love ya, from T and E P .
Thanks, T & E! Thirsty is very heavy and the rooftop box does add some drag, so I am going to try to be gentle with her. Though I hope she doesn't get hooked on that cheap gas.
While you’re in Lawrence, see if you can find any artwork by Adam Rohe—posters, postcards
& such. My maternal great grandfather, he was a son of German immigrants, & a Union soldier who escaped from Andersonville, then re-upped.
Later he settled in Lawrence & did some poster art work of the town to attract immigrants. Also some crazy complex political cartoons, though I think he made his living painting stage scenery.
Wonderful! Amazing! Stupendous! I know you (and Liesl) will have an incredible time. Check in with my sister Lynda in AZ if you like (lmk if you want contact info), and let us know if we can help in any way at any time. Love, s
Thank you! I will probably try to get through Arizona pretty quickly this time. There is too much to see! I am wondering how much of our route in the other direction I'll retrace. I remember getting a good comet photo near Casa Grande I think.
Terri, this is a trip more journey and heroic. I'm 85 now and it would not be something I can do more than imagine. So I am so interested to hear about and also to keep you in my heart. Ed Mycue
Thank you, Terrie. Who is Lisel?
Liesl is my little dog. She's a dachshund/rat terrier mix. Sometimes also known as "the rat-weiner".

Ed, I will definitely be thinking about you when I return to Ghana. And hopefully bring you along a little, virtually.
I prefer an old WWII term for the 'homeless'. Displaced persons. You go. Thanks for inviting me.
I always enjoy having you along for the ride, SPP. Thanks for taking me on your own journeys.
