Fun, creative, and even a bit worrysome and maybe more plus the deaths of the 3 meteorologly students. Lisel is the fine companion of all times I think. You are also. Truck on smiling and seeing.
I like the manner of your writing and the you who pens it and Lisel and Agnes and can't recall your wheels' cognomen. (What does cognomen mean and is that the correct spelling with the men at the end instead of the man & SHOULD IT BETTER BE COG WOMEN OR COGWOMAN) and while I am questioning: how did you choose Lisel's name? Ed
Thank you, Edward! Agnes is the tent, and Thirsty is the car. I named her "Thirsty" after realizing how much more often I'd have to stop to gas her up than her predecessor, a Prius.
Liesl came complete with her name. She was part of a litter of Dachshund / Rat Terrier mix puppies that was rescued...they'd been running wild with mom in a trailer park. There was one boy, which the rescuer named "Cowboy", but the foster family named all the girls after girls from The Sound of Music. There was a Gretl, Brigiita, and Marta I think. Liesl really knew her own name by the time I got her, so I wanted her to keep it.
Always love reading about your adventurous trip. Glad you move away from the Strom's. Stay safe.
Great to hear about your expedition. Us flat landers would have altitude sickness where you've taken us with those beautiful photos.
Safe travels,
T and E P

Of course Lawrence was a Weiner dog Facebook page! Liesel is a star. I missed something. Who is Agnes?
It's the "Big Agnes Bunkhouse 4" tent. She's earned a right to her own name on this trip. :-)
Maybe Agnes is the car and if so what is the name of your tent -- there are 4 of you, you yourself, Lisel, Agnes, and ?

Liesl fans can also see her original adoption page, with a cute photo of all the puppies at the bottom here: https://www.companionsinwaiting.org/adopt/dog.php?id=1537&n=Liesl
